We played hard, lost but played hard. Hurt my back really bad but had to continue cuz my team needed me. This team is like my family and I will fight for them.
Due to the weather in Kenosha a few days ago, Phoenix HQ is still without power so I am sorry that we didnt get last nights score up when it was due. The Phoenix lost thier away match with the Chaos 44-13, yet we still have a chance to clinch a playoff spot next week as we take on the Milton Mayhem

Phoenix Outclassed by Chaos The Wilmot Phoenix continued thier marathon away stretch with a game in Chicago to play the up and coming Chicago Chaos. If this were soccer, this game would have been refered to as a 'friendly' as both squads are very close in ownership, idealogy and future planning. In fact, both of these teams entered play with a 3-3 record. Alot of times in the GFL, who wins the game often comes downt to two things, who's at home and which players are there. The Phoenix lost on both of these accounts, they were not at home, and at the beginning of the game they were missing six starters. Getting to the middle of Chicago on a Friday night isn't easy. In either case however, the game was close untill the middle of the 1st when a missed 4th and short turned into a quick strike TD for the Chaos. Up untill that point the Phoenix had driven twice down the field, scoring once and missing a FG the other time. After the quick score, things turned bad for the Phoenix, snowballing into a 32-6 halftime score. As normal however, the Phoenix didnt give up. After a good first half passing, Ryan Schuk moved to wideout and caught four passes in the second half, one for a score. On top of that Nick Weiss had 60 of his 109 yds and a few more recieving to add to his impressive season. Kyle Ritter added four catches to his total as well, furthering his big to end the season on a high note. Defensively, the return of the defensive captain, Chris Bella, featured a fumble recovery. Jon Rogalski continued his impressive rookie campaign with 7.5 tackles. Ultimately though, behind the stats, the Phoenix are now 3-4 and enter pretty much a must win next week against the Mayhem. The Fox Valley Premier are going to recieve a forfiet win next week and if the Phoenix lose, then both teams will be tied at 3-5 with the playoffs at stake. The Phoenix must take care of business while they have the chance.
