The Final Tally - Week 10 [ edit | delete ]

Top Offense:

Kyle Ritter – This is his 4th straight week winning this award. It has nothing to do with him being so over the top better than everyone else, it has to do with his being a constant in this offense, and being respected

Top Defense:

Cody Sisk – I’m amazed this is Cody’s first defensive player award, especially after mowing down the Nighthawks a week ago. Sisk is already one of our top players and will be counted on greatly next season.

Top Reserve:

Nick Weiss – Had some nice runs, and ran over some people for some tough yards. With his TD run late in the game he because the Phoenix’s season points leader.

Top Play:

Jeff Thorpe – Perhaps not a constant, Thorpe has now won 3 (maybe 4) Top Play Awards since the regular season started. He is just in the right place at the right time and doesn’t miss his chances. Finally got his Defensive TD

Quarterback:

Ricky Martinez – Overall numbers weren’t good, yet the offense did swagger a bit more when he went in. His ability to run helped a bit and just being thrown in couldn’t have helped. Dan Mikal did not play badly at all, yet the team moved better later in the game.

Running Back:

Nick Weiss – His 14 yard run around end was especially exciting

Wide Receiver:

Kyle Ritter – First thing he heard me say last fall ‘you better be able to go over the middle’. Well, he is, and defenses fear that

Offensive Line:

Andrew Menard – Played both ways, is constantly tired and still holds his own against giants.

Defensive Line:

Dan Lowes – Finally busted through making his first sack since week 1. His motor never stops

Linebacker:

Nick Weiss – Seems to play his best when Chris Bella is not in the game

Defensive Back:

Jeff Thorpe – Another takeaway, another score…this time it counted

Hustle:

Dan Lowes – This award could be named after Andrew Menard…yet other people sweat too damn it. Plus, Dan Lowes put in the grittiest 3 yard reception we saw all season.
